Steve Cottrell is the Chief Information Security Officer at Admiral Group. Steve has over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field.

Steve began their career as a security consultant for various companies. In 2018, they became the Group CISO for Admiral Group Plc. In this role, they were responsible for setting the company's security strategy and overseeing the adoption of secure public cloud technologies. Steve also initiated a business-wide security transformation program.

In 2020, Steve left Admiral Group to become the Interim CISO for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. In this role, they were responsible for conducting a business-wide security maturity and risk review, and designing and implementing a new security target operating model.

Steve is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at Admiral Group. In this role, they are responsible for setting the company's security strategy and overseeing the adoption of secure public cloud technologies. Steve is also responsible for overseeing the security transformation program and ensuring that the company's security risk governance model is effective.

Steve Cottrell has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of South Wales. Steve is certified by (ISC)² in CISSP and by CESG in CESG Listed Advisor (CLAS). Steve is also certified by BSI Management Systems in ISO27001 Lead Auditor.

Steve Cottrell reports to Milena Mondini de Focatiis, Group CEO. They work with David Street - Admiral Group Plc, Costantino Moretti - Chief Executive Officer, ConTe, and Joanne Garcia - Head of Partnerships & Innovation.
