Dr Lynette Shotton

Dr. Lynette Shotton currently serves as an Associate Professor and Interim Dean of Apprentices at Northumbria University, providing strategic leadership for an extensive apprenticeship portfolio. With a strong background in health and education, Dr. Shotton is a member of the Council of Deans of Health Strategic Policy Group for EDI and the Advance HE Strategic Advisory Group for Teaching and Learning. Previous roles include Head of Subject in the Department of Social Work, Education and Community Well-being and Director of Access and Widening Participation at Northumbria University. Dr. Shotton's career also encompasses experience as a Health Visitor and Senior Lecturer across multiple institutions, complemented by advanced degrees including a Doctor of Education and a Master’s in Health Sciences/Public Health.
