John Morris

Corporate VP, Enterprise and HPC Business Group at AMD

John Morris is currently the Corporate VP of AMD's Enterprise and HPC Business Group. Prior to this, they were with Compaq Computer/Hewlett Packard for nearly six years, where they served as Manager of Product Marketing. In this role, John was responsible for overseeing all consumer product marketing functions for multiple categories, with an annual sales volume of over one billion dollars. John successfully managed four product cycles each year, with an average of 20-25 SKUs per cycle.

Under John's leadership, their team was able to clearly define product offerings and marketing plans, while also achieving revenue and margin goals and maintaining positive relationships with retailers. Some of the challenges John faced during their time at Compaq Computer/Hewlett Packard included reversing the decline in average selling prices and responding to competitors' price reductions in order to grow market share.

Despite these challenges, John was an instrumental part of the team that helped Compaq Computer/Hewlett Packard become one of the leading names in the tech industry. John's experience and success in product marketing make him a valuable asset to AMD as they continue to grow and expand their business.

John Morris has a MBA from Auburn University in Business/Technology and a B.S. from The University of Kansas in Business Administration. John also has a certification from Villanova University in Six Sigma Green Belt.

They work with Peter Chambers - Managing Director, Sales - APAC & Japan, Jason Mooneyham - Corporate VP and General Manager, Head of Americas Sales, and Neil Spicer - Corporate VP, Global Component Channel. John Morris reports to Darren Grasby, SVP & Chief Sales Officer, President EMEA.
