Chandra Sankar

Chandra Sankar is an accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience in the technology and defense sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Technology Systems Company since September 2025, Chandra has held multiple senior positions, including Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Gentex Corp. from August 2013 to August 2025. Prior roles include Vice President and General Manager at PHOTONIS USA - Digital Imaging, and various leadership positions at L-3 Communications and Northrop Grumman Corporation, contributing to advanced defense systems and technologies. Chandra founded AdvanTek, Inc. and has a strong background in software engineering and program management dating back to the 1990s at Teledyne Brown Engineering. Chandra holds a Master of Science in Physics from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, as well as two degrees from the University of Bombay, including a Master's in Physics with a specialization in Electronics.
