Saheem Absar

Saheem Absar is a Battery Material Scientist at Advano. He is working on scalable material engineering strategies to enhance compatibility of silicon-based anode materials in lithium-ion battery electrodes, targeting better battery storage capacity and cycle life.

Prior to joining Advano, he served as a researcher at Clemson University and Georgia Southern University, where he led research efforts in solving the technical challenges in scalable manufacturing and material processing of metallic and polymer-based nanocomposite materials with tailored physical and functional properties for structural and biomedical applications.

Saheem graduated from Clemson University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Southern University.
