Alexa first joined [Adyen](/org/adyen) in 2013 as an Account Manager in Berlin, although she visits Amsterdam often and says she loves the “special energy” of the headquarters. In Berlin, Alexa was technically the first person working at [Adyen](/org/adyen)’s local office — somewhat of a “one-woman show” for her first six months with the company.

Having been promoted to Country Manager – Germany on May 1, 2018, Alexa works to drive strategy, while maximizing individual strengths and focusing on open communication. She and the team are preparing German customers for growth and consulting them in their payments strategy as key drivers of success. The journey to this stage in her career has been filled with challenges, successes and constant learning.

Martine Buis is the Director of Human Resources at [Adyen](/org/adyen). Martine has worked for [Adyen](/org/adyen) since June of 2018 and in their current role, they oversee all aspects of human resources for the company. 

Before joining [Adyen](/org/adyen), Martine worked as a Program Manager for New Product Development & Product Incubation at [Booking.com](/org/booking-com). In this role, they were responsible for developing and launching new products for the company. Martine also served as the Commercial Lead for New Product Development & Business Development and as the Product Manager for China.

Hella started their career as an apprentice at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. Hella then went on to study at the Hotelschool The Hague, where they completed the International Fast Track program.

After graduation, they worked as a Global Sales Manager for [Marriott International](/org/marriott-international). In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing relationships with hotel owners and operators around the world.

In April 2016, they joined Worldpay as a Relationship Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing relationships with Worldpay's clients in Germany.

Carrie Hu is the current Country Manager for China at [Adyen](/org/adyen). Carrie has over fifteen years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on merchant acquiring services and product management.

Hu started their career as a GM Assistant in Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, a venture capital firm in Hong Kong. Carrie then transitioned to First Data Corporation as a Product Manager, where they spent over ten years. In this role, they were responsible for managing partnerships with multiple PSPs and developing programs to increase revenue.

In 2013, Hu left First Data to join China Minsheng Banking Corp.ltd as a Product Manager. In this role, they were responsible for supporting account managers on deals, analyzing P&L statements, and providing guidance on sales pipelines. Carrie left this position after only one year to join Stored Value Solutions (SVS) as a Senior Manager of Account Management and Strategic Partnership.

At SVS, Hu was responsible for developing business partnerships in the Asia region, increasing revenues by 400%, and pushing a digital and mobile strategy with large or medium size merchants from the retail industry. Some of their notable clients include ToysRus, [Adidas](/org/adidas), and Uniqlo.
