Michael Bongiorno

Michael Bongiorno, AIA, currently serves as the Managing Principal and Design Director at AECOM, where leadership encompasses a 130-person multidisciplinary practice focused on driving strategy, business development, and design excellence across Ohio’s Buildings + Places services. Previously, Michael held the role of Director and Design Principal at DesignGroup from 1994 to October 2019, where significant contributions included securing high-profile projects, enhancing the firm's reputation for design excellence, and shaping organizational culture through mentorship of young designers. Michael earned a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, from Pratt Institute and completed a college preparatory program at Xavier High School.
