We are currently looking for two senior-level developers who have been around the block and have a solid understanding of enterprise technology, how things work, and why things work. If you can read binary, have worked with punch cards or assembler language in your past, we are looking to partner with you. This is a startup position, and we are looking for a strong candidate to join our founding team on an equity basis. Our ideal candidate is someone who can wear numerous hats. Aerobyte is developing a next-generation Software Defined cybersecurity solution that not only protects the user’s identity without repudiation while protecting communication flow in every direction. Currently, the Industry defines this space as Zero Trust Architecture, Software Defined Perimeters, SASE Edge, and ZTNA.

The entire Cyber Security world is about to change directions and start rethinking and deploying new technologies and new architecture. Aerobyte is perfectly positioned to guide security experts down that path. You can work from a remote location, either part-time to a full-time basis, and report directly to the Product Development VP. As a Security Engineer, you will improve and implement secure products and solutions designed by Aerobyte. You will collaborate closely with the Aerobyte team to optimize our zero-trust and software-defined perimeter architecture's technical capabilities to provide reliable automated testing solutions.

As a Security Engineer Developer, you will

Design and develop new features; triage, reproduce, recommend remediations and implement fixes for vulnerabilities. Pay special attention to Quality in all stages of development and integrate with tools for CI/CD. Ensure a high degree of reliability, availability, performance, and scalability. Collaborate with other teams in the organization. Play a key role in evolving the product architecture with knowledge of applied cryptography and common attacks against modern cryptographic algorithms (encryption at rest, TLS, hashing, amongst other comparable technologies) Perform penetration tests and coordinate third-party vendor Pen Tests.

We are looking for people who genuinely care about creating a secure product with modern, agile-facing practices. Able to work in a self-directed environment that is highly collaborative and cross-functional. Knowledgeable regarding backend security topics such as secret management and service authentication Passionate in understanding and researching vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.

You are an ideal candidate if you have.

      • B.S. Computer Science or a similar combination of education and experience
      • Deep software development experience (Java, iOS and Android APIs, Web, Python) & experience in authentication and authorization: SAML, OAuth, LDAP, AD, and other identity-based access control systems.
      • Have a sound understanding of app security vulnerabilities, defense techniques, and security best practices, including language-specific security measures and present-day threats.
      • Experienced implementing, running, and maintaining tools and processes to reliably identify security issues such as SQLi, XSS, CSRF, and business logic flaws across large code bases (SAST, DAST, Penetration Testing, Security Unit Testing, as well any other unique skills that you may have)
      • Must have a solid understanding of C (not C# not C+), Kernel Development, Device Driver Development, and System Porting
