Gerhard van der Bijl

Gerhard van der Bijl serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia, as well as for Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall&Gall since October 2019. In addition, Gerhard is a member of the Supervisory Board at GS1 Nederland and a Visiting Lecturer in Executive Education at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Previous experience includes roles such as General Manager at Floriday.io and Chief Digital Officer and CTO at Royal FloraHolland. Gerhard has held significant positions in technology and eCommerce at various organizations, including Wehkamp.nl, Elsevier, Auping, and Bakker Bart. Gerhard holds an MBA (cum laude) from Business School Nederland and a Bachelor of Science in Management, Economics, and IT from Inholland University of Applied Sciences. Recent education includes an advanced program at INSEAD.
