Kirk Herzog

MWP Program Manager at Air Force Research Laboratory

Kirk Herzog is an experienced professional in defense and research management, currently serving as the MWP Program Manager at the Air Force Research Laboratory since August 2020. Prior roles include Branch Chief for the Damage Mechanisms Branch at the USAF AFRL Munitions Directorate and the Fuze Sciences Section Chief at USAF AFRL. Kirk has extensive experience in conventional munitions development and planning for hard and deeply buried targets, as well as overseeing initiatives to counter weapons of mass destruction. Previous positions in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Commerce reflect a strong involvement in national security and technology policy. Kirk Herzog holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of West Florida and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
