Guy Bacigalupi

Guy Bacigalupi is the current Chief Risk Officer at Aircastle. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from September 2010 to June 2012. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating a Top 4 US bank's global retail business strategy. Guy also reviewed the business strategy with the CEO of global consumer bank and business leaders of global card, global mortgage, and Asia-Pacific region. Guy Bacigalupi also had a lead role in national Federal Reserve team developing horizontal perspective on retail banking across major US banks. Furthermore, they led and participated in bank examinations covering asset quality, reserve adequacy, credit risk management infrastructure, and Basel-II compliance. Guy also participated in Shared National Credit review.

From January 2004 to February 2009, Guy Bacigalupi served as Vice President of Risk Management for GE Money. In this role, they were responsible for underwriting $66B of consumer finance investments in US, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Guy also managed the deal approval process through GE Capital Board. Additionally, they led a team of Subject Matter Experts developing new consumer finance products and helped business units launch them. Guy also defined GE Money’s risk appetite and set bounds on product specifications.

From April 1993 to December 2003, Guy Bacigalupi served as Vice President of Risk Management for GE Capital Aviation Services.

Guy Bacigalupi's educational career includes obtaining an MBA in finance from The Wharton School, as well as a degree in economics, architecture from Leibniz Universität Hannover. Guy also has a AB & BE in engineering from Dartmouth College. In addition, they have certification from the Federal Reserve System as a commissioned bank examiner and from GARP as a FRM.
