Linda Karlsen

Vice President | Head Of Performance & Quality, Life Cycel Segment at Aker Solutions

Linda Karlsen has over 10 years of experience in the engineering industry. Linda started their career as a Summer Intern at Statoil ASA in 2003 and later worked as a Summer Intern at RTIM Raufoss and Technip/Statoil ASA in 2005 and 2006 respectively. From 2006 to 2012, Linda worked at Reinertsen AS, Division Engineering, where they held the role of M.Sc. Materials and Corrosion. In this position, they were responsible for material selection, corrosion evaluation, surface protection, welding, technical specifications, and vendor follow-up in M&M and EPCI projects.

In 2013, Linda joined Aker Solutions as a Senior Engineer Material Technology | Discipline Supervisor. In this role, they served as the discipline lead for material technology in oil&gas topside modification projects and was a certified NS 476 FROSIO level III Inspector for Surface Treatment. Linda also held the position of Discipline Supervisor for Material Technology in Mid-Norway and worked as the Work Process Owner for Material Technology in Aker Solutions MMO.

Linda's career at Aker Solutions progressed as they became the Vice President | Head of PMO (Project Management Office) in September 2022. Subsequently, they served as the Vice President Performance | Electrification, Modification & Maintenance (EMM), where they were responsible for the performance agenda and project execution excellence across all phases. Currently, Linda holds the position of Vice President | Head of Performance & Quality, Life Cycle Segment at Aker Solutions.

In addition to their work at Aker Solutions, Linda is a Board Member at Low Emission Centre, SINTEF since May 2021.

Linda Karlsen earned an M.Sc degree in Material Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Material Technology, offshore at Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 2001 to 2003. Linda also obtained additional certifications including NS 476 FROSIO level III Inspector, Coating from FROSIO in 2014, Basic Safety and Emergency training from Falck Nutec AS in 2003, and Helicopter Evacuation training from Falck Nutec AS in 2003.
