Hyun Joo Kil

Hyun Joo Kil is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Aktis Oncology since November 2021. Prior to this role, Hyun Joo held the position of Senior Chemist at AnaSpec, where responsibilities included synthesizing custom peptide-based products and developing synthesis strategies. At West Virginia University, Hyun Joo worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on synthesizing melanocortin 1 receptor ligand-DOTA conjugates for targeted alpha-particle therapy. Earlier experience includes working as a chemist at Modulation Therapeutics, where peptide ligands for targeted radio therapeutics were synthesized, along with developing novel peptoid-peptide hybrid scaffolds. Hyun Joo earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of South Florida, along with an MS in Physical Organic Chemistry and a BS from Kangwon National University.
