Daniel Homer

Daniel Homer is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023, having previously held the title of Security Engineer II. Prior experience includes a role as a Blockchain Security Engineer at Coinbase, focusing on blockchain and smart contract auditing, as well as on-chain monitoring and incident response from January 2022 to January 2023. Daniel also contributed as an Assistant Instructor in Cybersecurity at the University of Toronto from December 2020 to March 2022 and worked as a Security Analyst at Hydro One, specializing in cybersecurity architecture, governance, and risk consulting. Early in their career, Daniel served in various security engineering positions at EWA-Canada. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Computer Science with a focus on Computer and Internet Security and a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University, earned between 2012 and 2017.
