Dana Mackie was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on January 1, 2025.
Dana Mackie is a relationship and client-focused public policy executive with over 19 years experience with the provincial Government of Alberta. Most recently, as Assistant Deputy Minister, Seniors Division, Seniors, Community and Social Services. In this role, Dana led the delivery of provincial financial assistance programs for seniors and strengthened the province’s response to elder abuse prevention and community supports for older adults.
Dana brings over a decade of advocacy and intergovernmental relations experience to this new role. He has held executive leadership roles across multiple sectors, including economic development, social services, environment and land management, climate change, and post-secondary education. Functional experiences include corporate performance, strategic and fiscal planning, program and regulatory oversight, agency governance, engagement and outreach, business development and intergovernmental relations, and supporting decision making processes for elected officials.
Dana has a BA in international relations from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Alberta.
