Tessa Callaghan

Tessa Callaghan is the Co-Founder and CEO of AlgiKnit, a sustainable textile company. Tessa has always been passionate about fashion and design. Tessa started their career as a Junior Assistant at JM Studio, where they gained experience in garment production and shoot prep. Tessa then transitioned to Brand Consultation, where they worked on production development for a variety of clients. In 2012, Tessa was hired by Final Frontier Design as a Product Designer. There they focused on developing knitwear through technology. In 2015, Tessa left Final Frontier Design to pursue their dream of starting their own sustainable textile company. Tessa partnered with like-minded individuals and together they founded AlgiKnit. As the CEO of AlgiKnit, Tessa is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the company. Under their leadership, AlgiKnit has become a leading sustainable textile company that is changing the way fashion is made.

Tessa Callaghan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Knitwear Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Tessa also has an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
