Jessica van der Vooren

Jessica van der Vooren has an extensive work history, starting in 2008 at Imperial Oil as a Project Manager. Jessica then moved on to work at Hyde Park Angels as a Lead Associate/Associate. Following that, they transitioned to roles at Exelon, including Senior Analyst and Manager positions. Jessica later worked as a Manager at Deloitte Canada before joining Scotiabank as a Senior Manager. Currently, Jessica holds the position of Director at Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., where they have held roles in Strategy & Sustainability as well as Corporate Planning & Strategy Execution.

Jessica van der Vooren completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering at McGill University from 2003 to 2008. Jessica then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2012 to 2014. In 2005, they also studied as an exchange student at the University of Melbourne. Jessica obtained their Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in 2012, and holds additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Prosci Change Management Practicioner.
