Karen began their career in 2000 as a District Business Manager for Bayer Pharmaceuticals. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team of sales representatives and achieving sales goals in their district.

In 2003, they transitioned into recruitment and became a Regional Sales Recruiter for inVentiv Health Commercial. In this role, they recruited candidates for sales positions at pharmaceutical companies.

In 2005, Karen founded Biotech Pharma Recruiters, Inc., a recruiting firm that specialized in finding candidates for senior and mid-level management positions in the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2010, Karen joined Bausch + Lomb as their Sr. Corporate Recruiter for the surgical division. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting candidates for sales, regulatory affairs, medical/clinical affairs, R&D, quality, technology, manufacturing & finance positions.

In 2012, Karen joined Xerox as their Senior Recruiter-Technology. In this role, they were responsible for corporate full-lifecycle recruiting for technical and sales professionals, including VP, Director, Program Managers and Web Developers.

Karen has been with Alioth since November 2020 and is currently their Executive Recruiter.

Karen Halkovic earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University, Chico.
