Hina Iftikhar

Hina Iftikhar is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in synthetic biology and genetic research. Currently serving as Scientist III and Team Lead at the Allen Institute since January 2024, Hina is responsible for leading a team focused on developing innovative sensors for targeted gene edits. Previously, Hina held various positions at Sana Biotechnology, Inc., including Scientist II and Senior Scientist, where contributions included enhancing the safety of iPSC-derived cell therapies and executing NGS-based studies for T cell therapeutics. A former Research Associate II at Genentech, expertise includes analyzing tumor infiltrating lymphocytes and working with single-cell sequencing technologies. Hina's academic background includes a PhD in Biology from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
