Parya Badie

Parya specialises in derivatives and structured finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on synthetic significant risk transfer products, bespoke OTC funding trades as well as structured credit and equity derivatives.

She advises regularly on insurance-capital markets cross-over structures including regulatory capital driven transactions and longevity and mortality derivatives. She has advised on a number of market firsts including the first synthetic securitisation in respect of exclusively UK ESG assets.

Parya also has significant experience advising bank and sponsor side on the hedging aspects of project financings and real estate financings, securitisations and CLOs, including the restructuring of large hedging portfolios and contentious matters arising therefrom. Parya also advises on collateral arrangements, including most recently the implementation of the uncleared margin rules. She has been a member of various ISDA working group committees and has worked as drafting counsel on industry standard documentation.
