Aart Smittenberg

Aart Smittenberg has extensive experience in application process consulting and solution architecture, currently working at Alliander since October 2008. Responsibilities include the development of a practical Knowledge Framework for an energy consultancy business unit, focusing on operational and managerial oversight. Previous roles at Alliander encompass information analysis, GIS solution design, and project proposal development in SCADA/DMS systems. Aart also served as IT Representative and Chairman of the Works Council, advocating for a positive workplace environment. Additionally, as Chairman of the board for VvE Blok 14 from May 2021 to May 2024, management of finances and maintenance for a residential complex was undertaken. Prior to Alliander, experience was gained in functional consulting and SAP systems at Nuon, Fortify@Work, Accenture Technology Solutions, and IBM, where foundational roles included business architecture and logistics engineering. Aart holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, obtained in 1994.
