Laurie Keating

Laurie Keating is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Laurie has global responsibility for all legal, intellectual property and litigation matters, as well as corporate compliance and corporate quality, for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Laurie is a member of executive management team and manages approximately 75 people.

Prior to joining Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Laurie was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from January 2004 to December 2014. At Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Laurie had global responsibility for all legal, intellectual property and litigation matters, as well as corporate compliance and corporate quality, for Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Laurie was a member of executive management team and managed approximately 75 people at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.

Before their work at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Laurie was the Founding CEO, EVP at Hydra Biosciences from January 2002 to December 2004. Laurie co-founded Hydra Biosciences with three scientific founders. Laurie negotiated key intellectual property licenses with universities and others. Laurie also co-led the Series A financing with Polaris and Abingworth (raising more than $10 million) and two pharma collaborations. Laurie built Hydra Biosciences from the ground up. After recruiting successor CEO with industry experience, they retained responsibility for Business Development, Legal, Finance, HR and Facilities. Laurie also concluded the Series B Financing raising another $19 million. Laurie served on Board of Directors from incorporation

Laurie Keating attended the University of California, Berkeley for their undergraduate degree, majoring in economics. Laurie then went on to attend the University of California, Hastings College of the Law for their Juris Doctor.

They are on a team with Evan Lippman - Chief Corporate Development & Strategy Officer, Piyush Sharma - Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, and Pushkal Garg - CMO & EVP, Development & Medical Affairs. Laurie Keating reports to Yvonne Greenstreet, CEO.
