Mara Molinello holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Master of Science in Management Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Rare Business at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since June 2021, Mara oversees P&L responsibility across more than 15 countries, including North America, top EU markets, and Japan. Prior to this role, Mara held several leadership positions at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., including Vice President of the U.S. Metabolics Business Unit, and Executive Director at Shire, focusing on marketing within the rare disease sector. With extensive experience in commercial roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including significant positions at Baxalta and Baxter International Inc., Mara boasts a strong background in marketing and management.
