William Connelly

William Connelly currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at Amadeus since June 2019 and has been a Board Member at Societe Generale since May 2017, where responsibilities include chairing the Risk Committee and participating in the Nomination Committee. Additionally, William holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Aegon until November 2025, also chairing its Nomination Committee. Previously, William was the Independent Board Director at Singular Bank from February 2019 to April 2023, where William chaired the Audit and Risk Committee. William's extensive career includes leadership roles at ING from 1999 to November 2016, culminating as Chief Executive Officer of Wholesale Banking and member of the Management Board, as well as various significant positions at ING Barings, Baring Brothers & Co. Ltd, and The Chase Manhattan Bank. William holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service, earned in 1980.
