Yelena Saakyan

Yelena Saakyan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking industry. Yelena started their career at GFI Mortgage Bankers, Inc. in 2002 as an Underwriting Manager, where they worked until 2011. From there, they moved on to Abacus Federal Savings Bank as the Director of Underwriting and Mortgage Operations from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they joined BCB Community Bank as the VP of Residential Mortgage Underwriting and worked there until 2017. Currently, Yelena is employed at Amalgamated Bank as the VP, Mortgage Division Operations Manager, a position they have held since 2017.

Yelena Saakyan obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business, Management & Finance from City University of New York-Brooklyn College from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Pedagogical College from 1994 to 1998, although no degree or field of study was specified.
