Adam Selipsky is the current CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at Amazon. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Tableau Software from January 2016 to May 2021. Before that, they were the Vice President of Marketing, Sales, & Support for Amazon Web Services from January 2005 to December 2016. In this role, they were responsible for AWS marketing, sales, business development, partner management, technical support and customer service, and product marketing/management. Adam was also a member of Amazon's 18-person senior operating committee (S-Team). Under their leadership, AWS grew from pre-revenue to a $13B+ revenue business, still growing 50% per year while Selipsky grew the team size from fewer than 10 to thousands. Adam reported directly to the CEO and was one of two senior execs in place from the launch of AWS until 2016. AWS is the pioneer in cloud computing, providing infrastructure services to over a million customers in over 190 countries.
