Christopher Wellise is the current Director of Sustainability & Carbon for AWS at Amazon. Christopher has also previously served as a Board Member for the Global Compact Network USA from March 2020 to March 2021, and as the Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise from August 2015 to January 2021.
Wellise has focused their career on increasing sustainability performance and customer and investor value for some of the world's largest leading technology companies. Christopher is experienced in working with C-Suite executives, including CEOs and Board of Directors, to develop and integrate ESG strategies across an entire value chain. Christopher has also built and led global teams of subject matter experts to execute against industry leading targets on issues such as climate change, waste minimization, and driving a circular economy.
Under Wellise's leadership, sustainability has resulted in over $585M of revenue for HPE and the company was named as the DJSI Industry Leader in the Technology Hardware industry.
Christopher Wellise has a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Fowler School of Business at San Diego State University.
