Ada Phillips

Ada Phillips, CMP, is a seasoned professional in the meetings and event planning industry, currently serving as the Director of Meetings and CME at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since August 2017. Previously, Ada held the position of Senior Manager of Corporate Relations at the National Society of Black Engineers from 2014 to 2017, managing corporate meetings and a major career fair with over 280 exhibitors. Additional experience includes a contract position as a Meeting Planning Consultant for the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care in 2014, and a role as Assistant Director of Meetings and Convention at the National Court Reporters Association from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in Ada's career, significant positions included Director of Meetings & Expositions at the Association of Government Accountants and Meetings Manager at the Network Consortium. Ada's career began as a Meetings Assistant for the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses. Ada holds a B.B.A. in Management from Howard University and has further educational background from Northern Virginia Community College and The George Washington University.
