Shabad V

Shabad V has extensive experience in the maritime and offshore engineering sector, currently serving as a Principal Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) since August 2011. Key projects include in-principal approval of wind turbine installation jack-ups with LEC crane for Keppel Fels in Singapore, and conducting leg damage rectification assessments for the Mobile Offshore Production Unit SEPAT. Prior roles at ABS involved conducting elevated rating studies of jackup units and performing FEM-based structural analyses using FEMAP and SACS. Shabad V began the career as an Assistant Project Coordinator at Drydocks World Singapore, overseeing various ship repair and conversion projects. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Marine Technology from Newcastle University and a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
