Ellene Tratras Contis

Ellene Tratras Contis serves as a Professor of Chemistry at Eastern Michigan University since August 1971 and currently holds the position of Director of the CSIE program. Contis is recognized as an ACS Fellow and has contributed to international education as a Fulbright Specialist in Pakistan. In addition, Contis is actively involved with the American Chemical Society, currently a candidate for Director at Large on the Board of Directors and previously served as Chair of the Committee on International Activities from 2016 to June 2022. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Youngstown State University.
