Sylvain Chassang is a prominent economist with extensive academic and advisory experience. Currently serving as a Member of the French Council of Economic Advisers at Conseil d'analyse économique since January 2023, Chassang is also a Professor of Economics at Princeton University and has held the position of co-editor for the American Economic Review since July 2020. Chassang previously served as a Professor at New York University from June 2016 to July 2020 and held various academic roles at Princeton University between September 2007 and June 2016. Chassang holds a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attained in 2007, along with master's degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Ecole normale supérieure.
