Rick Monk

Rick Monk currently serves as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at American Farmland Trust, a position held since July 2017. Prior to this role, Rick Monk spent a decade as Senior Counsel at Kalbian Hagerty LLP, an international law firm, and briefly worked as Managing Attorney at La Casa de Don Pedro, focusing on social services for the Latino community in Newark, New Jersey. Early legal experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney at Andrews Kurth LLP and teaching roles at Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito and Pagoda Academy. Rick Monk holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University.
