Zhen Bouman-Chen

Zhen Bouman-Chen is a professor at City of Hope, where they focus on translational science, particularly in epigenetic regulation, RNA biology, and diabetic vascular complications. Their research, which integrates systems biology and non-coding RNA mechanisms, has been funded by several prestigious organizations including the NIH and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Zhen has served on the editorial board of the American Journal of Physiology and has held leadership positions within the American Heart Association's Women's Leadership Committee. With a strong commitment to mentoring early-career scientists and promoting science education, Zhen actively seeks collaborative opportunities that bridge academic, clinical, and biotech fields. Previously, Zhen completed postdoctoral research at UCSD and the University of California, Riverside, after earning their doctoral degree from the University of California, San Diego.
