Taryn Gillson

Taryn Gillson is an experienced professional in the field of conservation and animal welfare, currently serving as the Global Humane Regional Director for Africa at American Humane from September 2023 to April 2024. In addition to this role, Taryn operates as an Independent Consultant and has been the Owner of Down to Earth Nature Training since March 2012, specializing in CyberTracker Track and Sign courses and evaluations. Taryn's leadership experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Community Conservation Fund Africa from February 2022 to June 2024, the Director of the Impact Division at The Mantis Collection from January 2019 to July 2023, and the Director at Worldwide Experience from February 2019 to August 2022. Taryn holds a BSc Honours degree in Zoology and Biological Sciences from the University of Johannesburg, completed in December 2002, and a Senior Certificate from West Ridge High School earned in December 1998.
