Matt Weingarden currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Communities & Journals at the American Marketing Association, a role held since July 2012, where responsibilities include leading teams in market-level experience design, serving as group publisher for five scholarly journals, and sponsoring diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives. Prior positions at the AMA include Senior Vice President and Vice President of Communities & Journals. Before this, Weingarden was Associate Director of Regional Programs at the University of Chicago, managing alumni engagement on the East Coast, and held various roles including Meeting Planner at the American Association of Diabetes Educators, Public Relations Coordinator at the University of Michigan, and Marketing Manager at the Lansing Principal Shopping District. Weingarden holds a Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week and a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on International Studies from Michigan State University.
