Lynn Schaefer

Lynn Schaefer, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, serves as the Director of Neuropsychology at Nassau Health Care Corporation since June 2008, heading the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences' Division of Psychology. In addition to this role, Lynn is actively involved in various professional organizations, holding positions such as Chair of the Institutional Review Board for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and Co-Chair of the AACN High School Outreach Program. Lynn's academic contributions include roles as Clinical Professor at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor at Stony Brook Medicine. With a strong focus on neuropsychological assessments and cognitive remediation through both private practice and per diem services, Lynn's expertise extends to legal and forensic consultations. Furthermore, Lynn is a Board Member at Conversations to Remember, addressing senior loneliness through innovative virtual engagement initiatives.
