Emily Pelliccia serves as the Deputy Chief of Community Risk & Resilience for Albemarle County Fire Rescue, leading a skilled team focused on improving health and safety outcomes. With a distinguished 28-year career at the City of Charlottesville Fire Department, Emily advanced from Firefighter to Deputy Chief of Emergency Preparedness, contributing to various operational roles, including Tactical Paramedic, where significant leadership was demonstrated in developing the Police Department’s SWAT Tactical Medic Program. Additionally, Emily holds a Master's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from the Naval Postgraduate School and has served on the Board of the American Red Cross since 2011.
