Matthew Kaleta, PhD, currently serves as Lead Biologist at ATCC since December 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Scientist I at Rise Therapeutics from December 2022 to December 2024 and conducted dissertation research at Binghamton University as a Researcher PhD Student from August 2016 to August 2022, focusing on uncharacterized genes related to biofilm formation and antibiotic tolerance in gram-negative pathogens. Additionally, Matthew worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Binghamton University, teaching Anatomy & Physiology I and II, Molecular Genetics, and Molecular Biology. Earlier experience includes positions as Head Resident Assistant and Resident Assistant at SUNY Plattsburgh and Shift Leader at Hannaford Supermarkets. Matthew earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology from Binghamton University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
