Alan Shihadeh

Alan Shihadeh serves as the Dean of the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut (AUB) since September 2017 and has been a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at AUB since September 2000. Prior to this, Alan Shihadeh was a Visiting Professor at Birzeit University from January 1999 to July 2000 and worked as a Design Engineer at Brown & Root from January 1990 to August 1991. Alan Shihadeh holds a ScD in Mechanical Engineering (1998) and an SM in Technology & Policy / Mechanical Engineering (1994) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin (1989).
