Taryn Gomez

Taryn Gomez is a Senior Cytogenetic Technologist at AmeriPath, a position held since January 2014, with prior experience as a Cytogenetic Technologist II. Taryn began a career in cytogenetics as a Cytogenetic Student Intern at Columbia New York Presbyterian from June to December 2013, gaining extensive training in various techniques such as blood and bone marrow culture, slide preparation, and FISH analysis, while also leading a research project on cell-free fetal DNA for microarray prenatal assessment. Taryn holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cytogenetics, Genetics, and Clinical Genetics Technology from the University of Connecticut, earned in 2013.
