Ames Laboratory
Benjamin Ueland has extensive experience in the field of physics, currently serving as an Ames Laboratory Scientist II at Ames National Laboratory since December 2012, with prior roles as Assistant Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate. Ueland holds an adjunct position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Iowa State University since February 2023. Previous experience includes being a G.T. Seaborg Postdoctoral Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a NRC Postdoctoral Associate at NIST. Ueland began a research career as a Research Associate at Penn State University following the attainment of a PhD in Physics from the same institution. Earlier academic roles comprise Teaching Assistant positions at both Penn State University and Binghamton University, where Ueland also earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Physics.
