Jorge MacHado

Jorge Machado is an experienced pharmaceutical professional with a strong background in rare diseases and orphan drugs. Currently serving as Country Director for Portugal at Amicus Therapeutics since March 2018, Jorge has held various management roles in the company. Prior to this, Jorge was with Sanofi Genzyme from January 2015 to March 2018 as Rare Diseases National Sales Manager and Rare Diseases Portfolio & Endocrinology Product Manager. Jorge also worked with Genzyme Europe BV and Genzyme Genetics in product management and sales roles focused on orphan drugs. Previous experience includes sales positions at Octapharma, Baxter, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Jorge holds multiple educational qualifications, including a Post-Graduation in Marketing Management from IPAM and an Organizational Leadership Program from Harvard Business School.
