About the Role:

AngelList is seeking a Demand Generation Lead to work closely with our Head of Marketing to craft a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at lead generation and finding repeatable growth channels for our full-service fund management product offerings. In addition to generating new business, you'll also be tasked with discovering new ways to nurture and strengthen existing customer relationships. While your primary focus will be on our full-service offerings, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of customers within the AngelList ecosystem, spanning emerging managers, established funds, LPs, and founders, across various touch points.

You will be one of the first hires on the revenue marketing team, and we're looking for someone who will take initiative, learn our product quickly and thoroughly, operate in ambiguity, bring a growth mindset to their work each day, and be excited to help build a revenue-generating marketing motion from the ground up. You will be reporting to our Head of Marketing.

You will:

  • Engage regularly with customers and potential customers across mediums to drive excitement about our mission, vision, and product offerings
  • Translate business objectives focused on driving top-of-funnel growth into a marketing schedule across an array of channels, including social channels, paid media, events, email campaigns, and more
  • Ensures that marketing campaigns are uniquely crafted towards each target customer and product offering to effectively reach the customers and drive MQLs and work with our Sales team to convert MQLs into qualified sales leads
  • Conceptualize, plan, execute, and manage the complete process of growth marketing campaigns, including the post-campaign evaluation and analysis
  • Partner with Design to create compelling, on-brand content across channels that support your schedule, including social media, blog, email campaigns, and new ideas that you invent
  • Partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Customer Relations, and Sales teams to create a deep understanding of how our current and potential customers communicate, their current pain points, and what within our product is solving those pain points in order to create the most effective marketing campaigns to drive growth & retention
  • Act as an extension of cross-functional teams at AngelList to help support in-flight projects (internal & external) and provide marketing insights, feedback, and support as needed

You have:

  • 3-5+ years experience in a demand generation, strategic, or customer marketing role(s)
  • Experience owning MQL-generating campaigns through an array of channels, including webinars, gifting, social, referral programs, email marketing, ABM, etc.
  • Deep knowledge and ability to track metrics across the entire sales funnel from campaign engagement to MQL to SQL to Closed Won
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and project management skills
  • Experience bringing customer stories to market via referral programs, case studies, community building
  • A collaborative outlook and an ability to effectively work cross-functionally across teams, including sales, brand design, product, customer success, and more
