Gary Phillips

Gary Phillips has extensive experience in the telecommunications and communications sector, currently serving as an IM Supervisor (Maintenance Systems) and Acting Project Coordinator at Anglo American since January 2025, while also holding the position of Communications Specialist since October 2019. With over 20 years of experience, Gary has operated as a Communications Business Owner at CQ Communications and has served in various managerial and technical roles, including Branch Manager at Rexel Holdings Australia and Telecoms, Data & Security Manager at Miller Communications. Gary's background includes operating a personal communications business, working on significant projects such as the fitout of Hervey Bay City Council and installations at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Gary began a career in telecommunications with Telecom Australia, where foundational skills in phone systems and network cabling were established, and has a technical education from Gifford Technical College.
