Yu Fu

Yu Fu is an accomplished Machine Learning Data Scientist and Project Manager currently at Anglo American since April 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Machine Learning Engineer at GfK from May 2019 to March 2021, Lead Data Scientist at CMC Markets from August 2018 to March 2019, and Data Scientist at HSBC from November 2016 to July 2018. Yu Fu further developed expertise as a Front Office Developer at Goldman Sachs from April 2013 to July 2016 and as a Consultant Developer at ThoughtWorks from September 2010 to April 2013, focusing on agile programming and languages such as C# and Java. Prior academic experience includes a position as a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of Surrey, where research involved data analysis for protein structure prediction and toxicity prediction. Yu Fu holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and an MSc in Advanced Computing, both from the University of Surrey and King's College London, respectively.
