Elise Brown

Elise is the Director of Marketing at Anthemis Group, a leading global early stage venture capital firm. In this role, Elise oversees the Marketing Team at Anthemis and its portfolio of 100+ early stage startups. Additionally, she is responsible for communication, events & business development efforts for the investor community.

Elise has more than 10 years of experience as a strategic marketer in the financial industry. Before joining Anthemis, she was a Senior Marketing Manager at a private equity firm, where she worked directly to implement marketing strategies to enhance the firm’s brand presence and support sales objectives. Prior to this, she worked as Marketing Program Manager for the Americas at JP Morgan Asset Management and a Marketing and Relationship Manager at Edward Jones.

Elise continues to rise through the industry as a sought-after marketer helping fintech companies strive to understand their clients on a deeper level by bringing a human element that oftentimes is missing and increase their overall market share. Most recently, Elise was recognized for her leadership in the industry by New York Fintech Women and listed as an Inspiring Fintech Female 2020. Her insights have been featured in Fast Company and podcasts catering to the marketing and founder community. Elise’s passion is to amplify opportunities to bring underrepresented groups of people to the forefront within fintech to make the industry more inclusive.

A Kansas City, MO native, Elise graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
