Kristen Kafka

Kristen Kafka, PHR, currently serves as the Associate Director of Global People Operations at Apellis Pharmaceuticals, leading the Global People Operations and Talent Acquisition Operations teams since June 2020. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Manager of People Operations, where Kristen co-led a Workday implementation, and People Operations Lead for the Americas at Pegasystems, where Kristen built the People Operations team. Previous roles also encompassed management of Talent Acquisition Operations at IDEMIA and staffing consultancy at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, along with HR support at Duke Energy Corporation. Kristen holds a B.S. in Psychology, Business from Texas Christian University and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
