David Balfrey

David Balfrey is the SVP of Technology at Apex Clean Energy. David has over fifteen years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Prior to joining Apex, David was the Manager of Wind Resource Assessment at Acciona Energy North America, where they led a team that performed energy project analysis and technology research. David has also worked as an observer, meteorologist, scientist, and climate researcher at the Mount Washington Observatory, and as a professional soccer player and coach for the Carolina Dynamo.

David Balfrey has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Master's degree in Geography from Appalachian State University. David also has a Bachelor's degree from Pfeiffer University.

David Balfrey reports to Mark Goodwin, President & CEO. They work with Dahvi Wilson - VP, Public Affairs, Chris Heins - VP, Accounting, and Karlis Povisils - SVP, Development.
