Sunwoo Hwang

Sunwoo Hwang is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in private equity, venture capital, and advisory roles. As Managing Director at Aphias Capital since February 2025, Hwang focuses on healthcare services and essential services businesses within a lower middle market context. Prior to this role, Hwang served as Principal at Chorus Impact, specializing in mobilizing institutional impact investors for catalytic financing projects. Hwang founded and served as CEO of Sixup PBC, Inc., securing over $60 million in funding to support low-income students, and held influential roles at various organizations including Proof Ventures, Dojingo, and NorthStar Systems International. Hwang’s career began at Kearney, where contributions to international client engagements laid a foundation for future successes in the investment and technology sectors. Hwang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Pre-Med from Northwestern University.
