Phillip Valka

Phillip Valka is the managing director at Apis Partners. Phillip has over fifteen years of experience in investment banking and strategic transactions.

Phillip started their career as an analyst at Promontory Financial Group. Phillip then moved to Auriemma Consulting Group where they worked as an associate - financial strategies. In 2010, Phillip joined Barclays Capital as an investment banking analyst in the FIG group - focused primarily on specialty finance.

In 2014, Phillip left Barclays to join Moelis & Company as an investment banking associate. Phillip worked on various M&A and restructuring deals before moving to PayPal in 2015 as the senior director, global corporate development. At PayPal, Phillip was responsible for evaluating and executing strategic transactions ranging from seed investments to large cap acquisitions.

Phillip has been with Apis Partners since 2022 and has been instrumental in growing the company and executing on its vision.

Phillip Valka received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from Bowdoin College and a GC in Finance and International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

They work with Bryan Wee - Associate, Hossam Abou Moussa - Partner, and Emily Morse - VP. Phillip Valka reports to Matteo Stefanel, Managing Partner.
